Biography
 Scott D. Olson, ND, is a Naturopathic doctor with expert knowledge of natural medicine. His primary specialty is alternative medicine. However, as an ND, Dr. Olson is trained as a primary care physician, and is therefore well versed in medical diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Olson's specialty is cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. He holds a pre-med degree from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine College, having passed his Oregon medical board exam as a practicing ND in 1998.
With his vast knowledge of current medical literature, Dr. Olson is qualified to evaluate and provide insight on an array of medical issues from his unique perspective as both an ND and writer/researcher. He has an understanding of the drug approval process and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations regarding drug and treatment approvals.
Dr. Olson obtained senior clinical content specialist status (the highest editorial department level) at a large medical information company in 2004. With over eight years of experience in editing and project management, he is called upon in a consultative role to provide expertise in the development of newsletter and web site content, as well as in the formulation of new product lines. Dr. Olson was instrumental in the development of a suite of products that focused on alternative medicine for a professional medical (MD, Pharm D, Nurse) and mainstream consumer audience.
For the last ten years, Dr. Olson has used his naturopathic expertise as a professional writer, specializing in such timely subjects as yoga, meditation, and massage; herbs, vitamins, and other supplements; and healthy eating and exercise. His articles have appeared in magazines, newspapers, textbooks, and as web content.
Dr. Olson has written chapters for the Professional Guide to Complementary & Alternative Therapies, Springhouse publishing, 2002, as well as edited The Ultimate Guide to Natural health, Boku press, 2007.
